RioVideo partners with VideoFlow to deliver Broadcast Quality over any IP Network

Southampton United Kingdom, Rosh Ha’ayin Israel – 9 April 2018. RioVIDEO Ltd announces the integration of VideoFlow's DVP technology into its flagship RV-HD encoder/decoder products for high quality video contribution over any IP network including the public Internet.

The RV-HD is a cost effective software defined encoder/decoder platform for professional contribution and distribution. The addition of VideoFlow's DVP (Digital Video Protection) further enhances the RV-HDx platform by providing connectivity option at a fraction of the cost of traditional satellite uplinks and leased line connectivity, without sacrificing a single pixel quality and with the lowest delay on the market.

The RV-HDx is built on the foundation of best in class compression technology, targeted at live sports events, news coverage and occasional use connectivity. Being a software defined encoder/decoder platform, the RV-HDx will seamlessly integrate into existing and green field workflows.

In addition, the RV-HDx compression technology enables markets previously inaccessible , facilitating full HD at bitrates less than 2Mbits, whilst maintaining broadcast quality video. Being a software defined solution, the RV-HDx may also be easily updated in the field with new codecs or feature enhances to optimise the overall cost of ownership.
